Why it is Important
to be a Life Changer.

Bible

Luke 6:38

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

Luke 14: 12-14

Then Jesus said “When you give,” he said, “don’t give to your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will pay you back, and that will be your only reward. Instead, give to the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for giving to those who could not repay you.”

Matthew 5:34-40

“Then Jesus will say, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.  For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.  I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing?  When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

“And Jesus will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Proverbs 14:31

Those who don’t help the poor insult God,
but helping the poor honors God.

Buddha

Buddhism sees the desire to see others become happy as the highest, most noble aspect of the human heart.

When we look after and care for others our own life force increases.  When we help people expand their state of life, our state of life also expands.

Helping others is the way to help ourselves.

Help someone needy will come back to you in unexpected ways.

The Purpose of Life is to contribute in some way to making things better for others.

Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have.

Helping one person may not change the world, but it will change the world for them.

Hindu

The Lord will raise us up from our troubles as we do good to others.

The purpose of living is to be kind. Help those weaker than yourself.

Pope Francis

There is so much indifference in the face of suffering. May we overcome indifference with concrete acts of charity.

How marvelous it would be if, at the end of the day, each of us could say: today I have performed an act of charity towards others!

Charity that does not change the situation of the poor isn't enough.

Mother Teresa

“Love is not patronizing and charity isn't about pity, it is about love. Charity and love are the same -- with charity you give love, so don't just give money but reach out your hand instead.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
